PRIMA, is an experiment, an international platform created with the aim of contributing to the creative journey of young artists working in the field of dance and performance. Over the course of five days, it will be possible to see some creations still in progress – realised also thanks to the residencies offered by the festival and grouped together in the Open studios section – and the completed works of national and international artists in the Programming section.
Professionals from all over the world will participate in the platform. An international community of artists, producers, artistic directors and curators will gather in Castrovillari to discuss curating practices, meet the artists involved and see their works.
The project, the result of a long and articulated curatorial work, made of visions, studies, comparisons around Europe, wants to give a different sense and depth to the multidisciplinary identity of the festival and, on the other hand, intends to develop a systematic and continuous action to promote internationally the creative heritage of young artists working in the field of performing arts. After more than twenty years of making an important contribution to the renewal of scenic language and to generational change in Italy, PRIMA now shifts its focus to the international scene.
